ampicillin

interfere with final stage of synthesis of bacterial cell wall
اصابه فى حاله الحمل و الرضاعه
dose : 10 - 20 mg / kg / 6 - 12 hr
route : I/V - I/M - S/C - PO
broad spectorum penicillin
use : enteritis
diarrhea
septicemia
E-coli mastitis

duricef - curisafe - Ibidroxil

active principle : cefadroxil
has longer duration of action than other cephalosporine
route : oral
dose : 25 mg /kg / day divided in 2 doses
conc : 125 - 250 - 500
use : tonsilitis
pharyngitis
stomach infection
has greatest effect on E-coli

velosef

use : bone - joint - resp
route : oral - injection
dose : 25 mg / kg / day / divided
active principle : cephradine
conc : 125 - 250 - 500
if adult dog 500 mg / 8 hr

ceporex

active principle : cephalexin
use : mainly joints - bone - resp
very specific to pyoderma
dose :
if dog : 20 - 40 mg / kg / 8 - 12 hr
if cat : 22 - 50 mg / kg / 8 - 12 hr
route : oral
